The State Government has released Mojini, a digital tool to allow farmers to get copies of some land survey documents, without the need to frequent government offices.
The Mojini tool has been uploaded on the website of the Department of Revenue. It enables farmers to check the online status and take copies of several land documents.
The Department of Revenue has digitised all records of farmers and other land owners and made them searchable. The records can be searched by using the mobile number, the survey number, or the application number of the farmer or applicant. Farmers can also apply for a survey of their land and pay fees through the website.
Apart from applying for land survey, citizens can obtain several other services, such as checking the status of application for survey of lands, allotment status, to view various sketches like — 11E Sketch, Alienation, and Phodi. One can see and copy revenue maps of the village and take copies of the Mojini dispute reports, take Mojini MIS reports, see and take copies of the Survey Department circulars, pre-mutation sketch, land conversion sketch, Haddubasthu and Thathkal Podi by paying the fee online. Citizens can apply online for online survey documents like tippan, pakka book, and atlas.
This is expected to ease the burden on farmers who have to visit taluk offices several times to obtain copies of their land records and survey sketches.
“We have digitised the process of application for some survey work and provided access to some documents. All the applicants of 11E, Phodi, Hadbasta etc can now print these sketches online, anywhere and anytime, without the need to come to survey offices. The other survey records are also made available online for printing. This will benefit several people, as it will reduce their time and energy,” Munish Moudgil, secretary, Department of Personal and Administrative Reforms (AR), and Commissioner, Survey Settlement and Land Records, told The Hindu. He said that the tool would be further strengthened and expanded to provide a larger set of documents. “The whole exercise is aimed at reducing the number of visits of farmers to department offices,” he said.
“Since citizens pay for survey applications at the time of applying, there is no need for additional payments for getting printouts of other survey sketches. This will obviate need of citizens to visit survey or even other counters. The Idea is once they apply, they can download the survey sketch anytime and anywhere. While the application is under process, the website also shows the progress. Once it’s approved, the person can download it. Through the Mojini tool, we are empowering citizens to take control of his application. We will share the name and the mobile number of officer and staff with whom it’s pending,” he said.
