Moisturisers with built in SPF vital for your summer skincare routine

SPF is vital for protecting our skin against damage from UVA and UVB.

Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in Northern Ireland with the incidences of both non-melanoma and malignant melanoma increasing recently.

Over exposure to UV radiation is an under lying cause of skin cancer, but experts say some cases can be avoided by simple precautions.

UV rays can even damage your skin when you don't feel it is sunny outside, and this is why it is important to ensure you use SPF in your daily skincare routine.

We've put together a list of some popular moisturisers with built in SPF, making it easy to remember to wear your SPF everyday.

They should also prevent your skin from aging in the sun.

Cetaphil Daily Defence Moisturiser SPF50

(Superdrug)

A light-weight, easily absorbed day cream which hydrates skin.

It claims to provide a "very high, broad-spectrum UVA/B photoprotection to help defend skin against the effects of daily exposure to sunlight and help skin maintain its natural protective barrier".

It's fragrance-free and is non-comedogenic, meaning it does not block your pores.
