Moise Kean, Theo Walcott and 11 players who could leave Everton on transfer deadline day

Everton look set for an exciting end to the transfer window, with Carlo Ancelotti’s business still not complete.

Norwich City centre-back Ben Godfrey is the priority target for Ancelotti, with the Blues confident of completing a £25million deal for the England U21 international.

However, after spending over £40m on James Rodriguez, Allan, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Niels Nkounkou, the Italian may look to offload squad players to balance the books at Goodison Park, with Moise Kean linked with a loan move to Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday.

We take a look at who could be on the move on deadline day.

Moise Kean

Moise Kean joined Everton last summer from Juventus but has struggled for starting opportunities under both Marco Silva and Carlo Ancelotti.

The Italian is part of the Blues' long term plans, but the ECHO understands Paris Saint German have registered their interest in taking the striker on loan for the season.

The 20-year-old has scored two goals from four appearances this season, but sat out Everton's wins over West Ham and Brighton and could now move on with Ancelotti insisting he was part of his plans but would be allowed to leave on loan if he wanted.

Bernard

Bernard joined the Blues on a free transfer in 2018 following his release from Shakhtar Donetsk.

Ancelotti used him as a regular substitute at the back end of last season, but he is yet to feature in Premier League action in 2020/21.

Despite not being in Ancelotti’s plans, the 28-year old currently looks set to stay and provide back up to Richarlison and James Rodriguez. However, the situation could change before Monday.

Sandro Ramirez

Everton fans could be forgiven for forgetting that Spanish striker Sandro Ramirez is still a Blue.

The 25-year old was tipped for a big future at the club following his 2017 arrival from Malaga, but three years and no Premier League goals later, the club are determined to sell him.

Real Valladolid declined to make his loan move permanent this summer, but according to reports from Super Deporte, fellow La Liga sides Eibar, Elche and Huesca are open to a deal if Everton agree to a free transfer.

Yannick Bolasie

Bolasie falls into the same category as Ramirez, with injuries and a host of unsuccessful loan spells defining his Everton career.

The former Crystal Palace star rejoined pre-season training on his return from Sporting Lisbon this summer, but he is not in Ancelotti’s plans.

However, due to a lack of interest in the 31-year old, he may yet see out the final year of his contract at Goodison.

Mo Besic

Besic is another perpetual loanee for the Blues, with the Bosnia international spending the last three seasons at Middlesbrough and Sheffield United.

The Blades declined to keep hold of him at the end of last season, but he looks certain to move on if a suitable offer comes in.

The 28-year old has emerged as a surprise target for Glasgow Rangers boss Steven Gerrard, as per the Daily Record, with the former Liverpool captain keen to add some experience to his squad.

Theo Walcott

England international Walcott looks certain to slip down the pecking order this season, with Rodriguez established as Ancelotti’s first choice right-wing option.

With the former Arsenal man entering the final year of his contract, he is unlikely to extend his stay at Goodison Park, but Ancelotti may want to keep hold of him as an experienced squad player.

A permanent move is unlikely due to his high wages, but he could be tempted by a Premier League loan switch to revive his career.

Callum Connolly

Defender Connolly spent the 2019/20 season on loan at Lincoln City and Fleetwood Town, and his first-team opportunities will be seriously limited this season.

The England U21 international has been tipped for a loan exit by U23’s boss David Unsworth.

Matty Pennington

Centre-back Pennington came back to Everton this summer after a loan spell at Hull City in 2019/20, but he could be fifth choice if Godfrey completes a move in the next 48 hours.

With the 25-year old now into the final year of his Blues contract, a loan move before a permanent exit next summer is likely.

Beni Baningime

Baningime has not made inroads into the Everton first team since Unsworth handed him a Premier League debut in October 2017.

After a low-key loan spell at Wigan Athletic in 2018/19 he returned to Everton in January 2019, and if Ancelotti can secure a permanent or loan exit he will happily offload the 22-year old midfielder.

Josh Bowler

Bowler joined Unsworth’s U23 setup from QPR in 2017, before spending the 2019/20 season on loan at Hull City.

He is not on Ancelotti’s first team radar and much like Baningime, Pennington and Connolly, he will be loaned out or sold if the club can secure a last-minute deal.

Nathan Broadhead

Broadhead has established a reputation as one of Everton’s hottest underage talents and played a key role in Unsworth’s side winning the double in 2018/19.

A solid showing on loan at Burton Albion last season underlined his progress, and while he is the most likely of the U23 stars to be given a chance by Ancelotti, another loan move could suit everyone.
