Moise Kean left out of Italy squad for Euro 2020 as Everton future remains uncertain

Moise Kean has been dropped from Italy's squad for Euro 2020 after featuring for the Azzuri against San Marino on Friday night.

The striker, who was replaced at half-time in their 7-0 friendly win, had been named in Roberto Mancini's 34-man preliminary squad for this summer's tournament, but was one of the players to drop out as the former Man City manager reduced his squad size to 28.

The national team confirmed their latest squad on Sunday, revealing they will link up at the Hotel Parco dei Principi in Rome on Monday, without Kean, with Chelsea duo Jorginho and Emerson then joining up on Tuesday after winning the Champions League, with Italy's final 26-man squad to then be confirmed later that day.

The 21-year-old, who has featured nine times for his country in the past, faces an uncertain future at Everton after spending last season loan at Paris Saint-Germain.

Scoring 17 goals from 41 appearances during his time in France, Kean, who has admitted he would like to stay in Paris, won both the Coupe de France and Trophee des Champions with the French giants but suffered Ligue 1 and Champions League disappointment.
