Moise Kean impresses Carlo Ancelotti during Everton win at Newcastle

Carlo Ancelotti praised the performance of Moise Kean following Everton's 2-1 Premier League victory at Newcastle United on Saturday.

Ancelotti handed Kean his first start in the competition since September and the striker completed an hour of football before being replaced in the second-half by Fabian Delph.

The three-time Champions League winner explained the substitution was to hand Everton more balance as the 19-year-old tired.

"Moise played well, in my opinion," Ancelotti said.

"We played with four strikers and we wanted to put pressure on the defenders of Newcastle. He did well.

"He was dangerous after that, [and] to have more balance in the middle, I substituted one striker. In that moment, he lost a little bit of power and it was enough. His performance was good."

"His performance for one hour was good."
