Moise Kean facing £160k Everton fine for flouting coronavirus lockdown rules

Everton's Moise Kean is set to be hit with a £160,000 fine after he ignored government lockdown rules.

The Italian filmed himself partying at home with several guests and is set to incur the wrath of chiefs at Goodison Park.

Kean's decision to ignore social distancing advice will see him fined the maximum two weeks wages.

Everton have said that the 20-year-old's actions have left them "disappointed" and suggested it has undermined the NHS.

A club statement read: "Everton Football Club was appalled to learn of an incident in which a first team player ignored Government guidance and club policy in relation to the coronavirus crisis.

"The club has strongly expressed its disappointment to the player and made it clear that such actions are completely unacceptable.

"Everton has regularly stressed the importance of following all the Government guidelines - including rules and advice for inside and outside of the home - through a series of official communications to all staff members, including players.

"The amazing people in the NHS deserve the utmost respect for their hard work and sacrifice. The best way to show them respect is by doing everything we can to protect them."

Kean is the latest Premier League player to be in hot water after the likes of Jack Grealish, Kyle Walker and Tottenham pair Serge Aurier and Moussa Sissoko were seen out.

The latter two were seen training together and have since apologised.

Kean has spent less than a year at the Toffees following his £27.5m move from Juventus in the summer.

He has failed to deliver on the pitch thus far though with just one goal in his 26 appearances.
