Moi Elyounoussi and Kristoffer Ajer in Celtic return as Hoops pair face isolation D-Day

Celtic stars Moi Elyounoussi and Kristoffer Ajer travelled back to Scotland on Sunday amid questions over a potential quarantine period.

The Norwegian national team's Nations League campaign was thrown into chaos this week after full-back Omar Elabdellaoui returned a positive Covid-19 test.

The entire squad was denied permission to travel for a clash with Romania and the players were left unable to leave Oslo.

A report from TV2 states they've now been permitted to return to their clubs on the condition they complete a 10-day isolation.

However, Norwegian health director Espen Nakstad explained that as the nation's laws do not apply abroad, the implementation of the quarantine will be decided by Scottish Covid-19 regulations.

That indicates whether the pair's availability for Celtic' s visit to Easter Road on November 21 must be clarified by authorities in Glasgow.

Travellers returning from Norway are currently exempt from the Scottish Government's quarantine order.

Either way, Ajer and Elyounoussi were pictured in the airport alongside team-mates and manager Lars Lagerback.

It's reported the pair have returned negative tests since Elabdellaoui contracted the virus.
