Mohammed Elyounoussi set for Celtic move as Southampton winger closes on loan move

Celtic are set to complete the signing of Southampton winger Mohammed Elyounoussi on a season-long loan deal.

The Norwegian international will join up with Neil Lennon's squad ahead of Sunday's derby against Rangers.

Lennon has been chasing a winger all summer and had been heavily linked with Fousenni Diabate over the last few days.

But now they've turned their attention to Elyounoussi.

The 25-year-old only joined Southampton last summer for £16m from Basel after previously playing for Molde and Sarsborg.

But he's struggled in the Premier League and has played just 16 times, failing to hit the back of the net.

He'll now spend the upcoming season in Glasgow and could make his Celtic debut against Rangers.

It's understood the winger is currently in Glasgow ahead of his move.

Speaking after the game against AIK, Lennon spoke about potential incomings and said: "Possibly, possibly. I couldn't tell you. I will have to speak with the big man (Lawwell) after here and I'm sure he'll be delighted with everything so far."
