
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, opened on Tuesday the 42nd Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) summit in Riyadh.
In opening remarks, he stressed the importance of completing economic unity between the Gulf states according to the vision of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz.
He also hailed the solidarity that led to the success of the fulfillment of the outcomes of the AlUla summit that was held in January.
He emphasized that Saudi Arabia will continue its efforts in bolstering security and stability in the region, while urging the need for adopting a serious approach towards Iran's nuclear file and reaching a political solution to the conflict in Yemen.
