Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, received in Riyadh on Monday Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed al-Nahyan.
Crown Prince Mohammed welcomed Sheikh Mohamed and the accompanying delegation upon their arrival in the Kingdom.
Sheikh Mohamed relayed the greetings of United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al-Nahyan to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz.
The two royals congratulated each other on the advent of the Eid al-Adha holiday, which begins on Tuesday.
Their talks focused on the close bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and the UAE and cooperation and opportunities to bolster it in various fields. They also tackled regional and international developments.
Sheikh Mohamed tweeted: “During our meeting in Riyadh, my brother Mohammed bin Salman and I discussed ways to further deepen the fraternal bond and strategic cooperation between our nations. The partnership between the UAE and Saudi Arabia continues to be strong and prosperous.”
