Mohammad Rizwan footage shows match-winning India knock started before a ball was bowled

Pakistan star Mohammed Rizwan scored 79 not out off 55 balls to help his side romp to a dominant 10-wicket win over rivals India at the T20 World Cup.

Rizwan and his opening partner Babar Azam are the two leading run scorers in T20Is this year and the pair will be key to Pakistan's chances of winning the tournament.

Against India, both Rizwan and Babar were excellent, ensuring Pakistan chased down India's first-innings total of 151-7 with ease.

In a video posted on social media, the ICC released footage of Rizwan practicing his shots in the middle ahead of the game.

The video showcases Rizwan's practice shots alongside those he actually played during his innings, including the pull shot, the slog sweep and the cut.

The caption read: "Dream. Visualise. Execute. Mohammad Rizwan’s masterpiece started before a ball was bowled".

Speaking after the game, Babar was quick to pay tribute to Rizwan and fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi, who was named player of the match after taking 3-31.

"We executed our plans well and the early wickets were very helpful," Babar said.

"Shaheen's wickets gave us a lot of confidence and the spinners dominated as well.

"The plan with Rizwan is always to keep it simple. We tried to get deep in the crease and from about the 8th over the dew came in and the ball came on nicely.

"This is just the start, we have confidence to build on now. It will remain match by match for us. The pressure on us wasn't that much - we weren't thinking of the record against India at all.

"I only wanted to back all our players who've been preparing well. When you play tournaments before a big World Cup, it helps and our players came in with a lot of confidence because of that."
