Mohamed Salah utters the four words every Liverpool fan wants to hear

Just four simple words but they will warm the heart of every Kopite – Mohamed Salah has declared: “I'm happy at Liverpool.”

Anfield's 'Egyptian King' has been a revelation ever since he joined the Reds in the summer of 2017 netting an incredible 44 goals in all competitions in his first campaign at the club.

While some observers dismissed him as a 'one season wonder', Salah netted a further 27 times last term with his 22 strikes in the Premier League enough to earn him a three-way share of the Golden Boot alongside team-mate Sadio Mane and Arsenal's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Salah has also had to contend with what seem like bizarre accusations of him supposedly not smiling enough while on the pitch.

Others seem to have pushed an agenda that he is often poised for a move to either Real Madrid or Barcelona, following the what now seems slightly dated notion that the two La Liga giants would snaffle up all of football's top talent between them.

While that was often the case in the not-too-distant past, the landscape has changed somewhat with Premier League clubs now able to offer salaries that are competitive when compared to what their Spanish counterparts can offer.

Also the evolution of Liverpool's team under Jurgen Klopp over the past 18 months, culminating in a club record 97-point haul and sixth European Cup triumph, have ensured that Salah now has an all-star supporting cast to fulfil his ambitions at Anfield, most of whom are at the peak of their powers unlike the many ageing 'galacticos' at the Bernabeu and Camp Nou.

Salah told CNN : “I'm happy at Liverpool.

“I'm happy in the city - I love the fans and they love me. I'm happy at the club.”

Exactly.

It's a mutually beneficial partnership and one that brings the best out of both parties.

Why would Salah want to go anywhere else?
