Mohamed Salah urges Liverpool fans to 'bring Anfield to Madrid' for Champions League Final vs Tottenham

Mohamed Salah has challenged Liverpool fans to channel the atmosphere of Anfield when they take on Tottenham in the Champions League Final in Madrid on June 1.

Liverpool's Premier League season ended in disappointment on Sunday as a 2-0 Anfield win over Wolves was not enough to secure the title, with Manchester City beating Brighton to finish a solitary point above Jurgen Klopp's men.

The Merseyside club must now forget that near miss and focus their attentions on a European Cup final against Premier League rivals Tottenham, with Atletico Madrid's Wanda Metropolitano the venue for an all-English affair.

Should Liverpool see off Spurs in the Spanish capital next month, it will be the sixth time that the club have lifted the European Cup.

Despite narrowly missing out on the title, Salah - who shared the Golden Boot award with Liverpool team-mate Sadio Mane and Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - has called on Liverpool fans to take a little piece of Anfield to Madrid with them.

The Reds went unbeaten at home in the League this season with 17 wins and two draws, and Anfield witnessed one of the great European comebacks as Liverpool beat Barcelona 4-3 to progress to the final.

Taking to Twitter on Monday afternoon, to reflect on Liverpool's title chase and the upcoming Champions League Final, Salah wrote: "It feels bittersweet now but the season isn’t over.

"I want to say thank you to my teammates, coaches, and to the fans.

"And fans, please bring Anfield to Madrid."
