Liverpool probably won't buy anyone in January.
That certainly seems the case now. And I think maybe, as a result, that might be the time for Liverpool to announce something and give the fans the news they have been waiting for.
FSG probably won’t sign a player but hopefully they can give Salah the contract he wants and he deserves.
You can see his reason why. If you have players like David De Gea at Manchester United on £450k a week, why shouldn’t Mohamed Salah be on the same?
It’s how football is and he merits what the top dollar is. End of story.

One point gained or two points dropped?
To go to Tottenham and get a draw in any given season is a good result. You take it.
But Man City, you can’t afford to draw now the way Man City are going again. That’s the most frustrating thing because City don’t look like they’re going to slip up at the moment.
Hopefully they will. In the past it’s a really good draw but we’ve got to go to places like Tottenham, and Chelsea in a couple of weeks, and try to win the game because the stakes are so high.
City have raised them because they are winning every single game and don’t look like slipping up.
Road to Wembley
Every fan, no matter who you support, all enjoy a Wembley day out.
I won this competition with Oxford in the mid-eighties and it was brilliant, absolutely brilliant. One of the best days of my life footballing-wise.
You ask any Liverpool fan and they’d love to go to Wembley. We haven’t been for a while. It used to be our second home.
Of course we’d like to progress, get to Wembley, get to another final and get another cup. It’s not prioritised by many, the League Cup, but it’s still nice to win it!
It’s a pity that we have a slightly-depleted squad. It could certainly be stronger in midfield areas.
MOHAMED SALAH: Liverpool face dilemma with Egyptian as Jurgen Klopp forced into change
Leicester will definitely want to go for this cup so they will go strong. We have to utilise our squad as best we can.
Klopp has some really good players who need games. Keita, Milner, Oxlade-Chamberlain - they need games. Minamino, he’s done well in the competition.
We’ve got Gomez. We’ve got Konate who needs games. Tsimikas needs games. Williams is a really good right-back.
There’s enough players that are capable of playing and, with home advantage at Anfield, are more than capable of progressing.
Maybe you wonder what the manager has at his disposal upfront without Origi, but we’ve got more than enough to win the game regardless of the team he puts out.
