Mohamed Salah sends Manchester United reminder after Liverpool victory

Mohamed Salah aimed a cheeky dig at Manchester United after helping Liverpool maintain their unbeaten start to their Premier League season.

Salah scored Liverpool’s second to help his side to a 2-0 win at Anfield, meaning Jurgen Klopp’s side have now amassed 64 points from a possible 66 on offer in the league this season.

The only time the Reds have dropped points was against United at Old Trafford back in October, a game that Salah missed due to injury, and he was quick to remind Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side post-match.

“As you can see today, I’m back from the injury so we won the game,” the Egyptian said post-match.

“I’m very happy for the team, we won all the games, we enjoy the moment and hopefully it finishes like that.

“I got the pass from Alisson, nobody else could keep up with me but I’m very happy for the team, that’s the most important thing.”

The win moves the Reds 16-points clear of second place Manchester City but Salah refused to be drawn as to whether his side have secured their first league title for 30-years.

“I think we just need to keep focusing on each game, we can’t think ‘we have won the Premier League’, we take it game by game, it’s the only way we can win the Premier League,” he added.

“Last season we lost it at the same time so we just have to concentrate on each game.”
