Mohamed Salah suffered a frustrating first 56 minutes against Red Bull Salzburg... but the Liverpool star more than made up for it.
With Napoli racing into a three-goal lead over Genk in Italy, Liverpool soon knew that their Champions League defence would be over if they fell to a defeat in Austria on Tuesday night.
With the pressure on, Salah showed some nerves in front of goal in the first half with numerous misses.
The Egypt international passed up chance after chance as Jurgen Klopp looked stony-faced on the touchline, while Liverpool also had the threat of Erling Haaland to contend with at the other end of the pitch.

Fortunately for Salah, Sadio Mane decided to cross to Keita and not the Egyptian 56 minutes into the match - and the result was a neat header into an open goal after the Salzburg goalkeeper ran out to close down Mane in the 57th minute.
Sixty seconds later, Salah atoned for his misses with a stunning finish from the narrowest of angles barely six yards from the byline, curling the ball just past the near post.
