FSG know what is coming as Mohamed Salah agent sends Liverpool message

The ball had just hit the net from Mohamed Salah’s curling effort as Ramy Abbas Issa sent a not-so cryptic message to Liverpool’s owners.

“I hope they’re watching”, Salah’s agent tweeted, having long been in negotiations with FSG over extending the Egyptian talisman’s contract at Liverpool.

The 29-year-old, who has two years left on his deal, has been linked with Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid but his performance against Norwich on Saturday suggests Salah is very much committed to the cause.

Liverpool have made re-signing their key men a priority this summer, with Virgil van Dijk, Fabinho, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Alisson Becker all putting pen to paper.

Involved in all three of the Reds’ goals, having provided two assists, it was a performance that once again highlighted his importance to Jurgen Klopp’s side - while forcing FSG to get Liverpool’s main man signed up for the long-term.

Liverpool make double title statement but Michael Edwards deal needed

It was a champions’ performance at Carrow Road as Liverpool re-established their title credentials against Norwich City.

The Reds strolled to a 3-0 victory in East Anglia, with Virgil van Dijk on his return showcasing the type of quality that established Jurgen Klopp’s side as the Premier League’s runaway leaders during the 2019/20 season.

Though it was Mohamed Salah who ultimately stole the show, with the Egyptian laying on goals for Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino before sealing the victory with a finessed top-corner finish.

In a team full of world-class talent, Salah showed his star quality as the Reds demonstrated why many are foolish to overlook their potential title challenge

However, it only emphasised the fact that agreeing new terms with Liverpool’s number 11 would be the best signing that FSG could make this summer.
