Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah believes Alisson’s remarkable headed winning goal against West Bromwich Albion was the moment of the season.
The Brazilian shot-stopper provided arguably the most dramatic moment of the Premier League campaign as he powerfully headed home Trent Alexander-Arnold’s corner in the fifth minute of added time at the Hawthorns.
Scored with just one week remaining in the Premier League campaign, it helped reignite Jurgen Klopp’s sides hopes of a top four finish and securing Champions League football for next season, which was subsequently sealed the following week.
The Egyptian forward was speaking after being named as the Player of the Season at the Anfield club by the fan base, with midfielder Fabinho and defender Nathaniel Phillips landing the second and third spots respectively.

Salah, 28, enjoyed another superb season on a personal level despite his side’s struggles - netting a remarkable 31 goals in 51 appearances, with his threat in front of goal never wavering.
It was the forward’s second-best goal return in one season following his debut 2017-18 campaign and it is little surprise he scooped the award.
However, he highlighted the unforgettable Alisson header in the triumph at West Brom as the moment of the campaign.

Salah told the club’s official website : “The highlight of the season was Ali’s goal! I can’t say anymore.
“It was unbelievable. As I said, it’s about the team and the reaction to the goal… I didn’t even think about it, I was jumping.
"That was the moment when I felt like we were going to play in the Champions League next season.
“The last ball in the game, it was an unbelievable moment and I was so happy for him.
“It was a really great header, not expected. Unbelievable. He did a great job and got us the three points.”

Reflecting upon winning the award, Salah added: “Of course, I’m happy to win this award, especially as it is voted for by fans, but winning our final games and qualifying for the Champions League was the most important thing.
“I think I have played OK this season, but it’s not about me – it’s about the team.
“For us as a team, I think if we’d had the fans in the stadium, our position, our situation, would have been much better. We suffered a lot this season with missing the fans.
“So I am happy in the last game of the season we played with our fans. It was great to see them back in the stadium.
“I want to say thank you very much for voting for me, I’m very proud about that and I will see you soon.”
Liverpool finished the campaign in third after winning each of their final five Premier League matches, while top four rivals Chelsea, Leicester and West Ham all stumbled in the closing weeks of the season.
It means that Klopp’s side will be competing in the Champions League for the fifth successive season.
