Mohamed Salah sends emotional message to Roberto Firmino and shares Liverpool future hope

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has penned an emotional goodbye message to Roberto Firmino and the three other long-serving players who are leaving Anfield when this season draws to an end.

As reported, popular Brazil striker Firmino is entering his final days at the club along with James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as their contracts will not be renewed. It marks the end of an era for a side that won the lot under manager Jurgen Klopp; including the Premier League and Champions League.

After watching Sadio Mane head to Bayern Munich last summer, Salah is the last man standing in an attacking trio that spear-headed that success now Firmino is also on his way. Exactly what is next for the striker has not yet been decided, but Salah hopes their paths will realign soon enough.

Uploading images of Firmino, Milner, Keita and Oxlade-Chamberlain on to his Twitter profile, Salah said: "One of the best things about football is that we get to meet and share moments with great people. Bobby, Milly, Ox, and Naby, will be missed and I hope our paths will cross again."

Naturally, the post has already garnered countless likes, replies and retweets as it does the rounds on social media, with several outlets also using the quote in their own uploads. Salah, 30, used the exact same post on his Instagram profile, too, with departing vice captain Milner among the first to reply with a red love heart emoji.
