Mohamed Salah names the one man he'd love to play with at Liverpool

Mohamed Salah has admitted he'd love to play alongside his former Roma team-mate Daniele De Rossi at Liverpool.

The Italian midfielder bid an emotional goodbye to the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday, following Roma's 2-1 win over Parma.

De Rossi has spent his entire career playing for Roma, but at 36 has decided to call it a day and assess his options elsewhere.

The Italian shed tears alongside the Roma fans as he waved goodbye to them on the weekend after making his 616th appearance for the club.

Francesco Totti, who also spent his entire career playing for Roma before retiring two years ago, embraced his fellow club legend on the pitch after the game.

De Rossi is yet to announce what he is going to do next.

According to some reports the Italian is considering a move to South America to represent Boca Juniors.

The Argentine club's sporting director Nicolas Burdisso believes the 36-year-old is keen on the switch.

But De Rossi's former team-mate Salah has suggested a transfer in a different direction - to the UK to join him in the Premier League.

The Liverpool forward told Gianluca Di Marzio: "He is a legend of the club and of Italian football, not just because he is a great friend of mine.

"A future for him in the Premier League? It would be beautiful, but I don't know if it's possible. It would be pleasing for me to play with him again, he is an optimal player."
