Mohamed Salah makes Melwood session as Liverpool drop Arsenal selection hint

Mohamed Salah was among the players at Melwood on Monday as Liverpool began preparations for their latest League Cup assignment.

Salah took part in regular recovery session having limped off towards the end of the 2-1 Premier League win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

The Egyptian, who scored the winner from the penalty spot, was nursing the left ankle he initially damaged when caught by Leicester City's Hamza Choudhury earlier th month.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has already allayed fears of a serious problem, with Salah in any case unlikely to be considered for the League Cup fourth round tie against Arsenal at Anfield on Wednesday.

Klopp is expected to ring the changes for the visit of the Gunners having utilised his squad and the Academy ranks for the 2-0 win at MK Dons in the previous round.

Summer signings Harvey Elliott and Sepp van den Berg were among those taking part in full training outside at Melwood having made their debuts in Milton Keynes.
