Mohamed Salah makes Liverpool declaration and explains 'favourite moment' against Manchester United

Mohamed Salah declared his favourite moment in January came as he scored against Manchester United.

The Liverpool superstar, who scored in the 2-0 victory over Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men at Anfield, made the comments after being named as Player of the Month by the club's sponsor Standard Chartered.

Three goals and three assists for Salah across the month during games against Sheffield United, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Ham United saw him claim the award ahead of captain Jordan Henderson and goalkeeper Alisson Becker.

Blood Red: How & Where Liverpool Could Win The Premier League

"Thank you. I am happy to win this award and as I’ve said before many times, the important thing is to win the games and I think we did well that month, so hopefully we’ll keep [going] like that," Salah told the official club wesbite.

" I scored a goal against Man United after two years, so that was my favourite moment."

Liverpool’s Premier League season gets back underway with a trip to Norwich City on Saturday, and Salah says the players are "fresh and excited" to go again after the winter break.

He added: "I think we had a good break and everyone is fresh and everyone is excited to go again, so hopefully we will be ready for the game."
