Mohamed Salah kept his word at Liverpool to deliver Premier League title

With 17 goals in the Premier League for Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool so far this season, including converting from a fabulous Fabinho pass against Crystal Palace, Mohamed Salah has more than played his part.

The Egyptian arrived with a point to prove, having failed to show his true talents at Chelsea.

The team he was joining had a point to prove too, as they made their way back to the top table.

First came the Champions League in Madrid, then the FIFA Club World Cup in Qatar, and now the first league title in three decades.

Salah made a promise early on in his time on Merseyside - a pledge that underlined the reason he chose to move to the North West.

Back in December 2017, just months into his Liverpool career, Salah spoke about his ambitions during the time he was at Anfield.

He said: "As a team, I know we haven’t won the Premier League for a long time, so I would love to win it with Liverpool.

"We have a great team, we have a great manager, so everything is good at the club. I’m sure we can win trophies here together."

And how Salah was right. Not only have Liverpool ended their title drought, but they will do so in record time.

Salah was sure that Liverpool could win trophies and Salah was absolutely right.
