Mohamed Salah injury concern for Liverpool as he is forced off in Leicester win

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has been forced off through injury in their clash with Leicester .

The Egyptian ace was on the receiving end of a forceful challenge from Hamza Choudhury and left in a heap in the closing stages.

He eventually got back to his feet but seemed to be in some discomfort before signalling to the bench he was unable to continue.

He was replaced by Adam Lallana just moments before Liverpool were given a last-gasp penalty and snatched a 2-1 win in the dying seconds.

With Salah not on the pitch to take the spot kick, James Milner stepped up and converted to preserve their perfect start to the Premier League season.

Liverpool took the lead via Sadio Mane but James Maddison struck and seemed to have taken a point just 10 minutes from time.

But, despite Salah's injury concern, Milner delivered a 93rd minute winner after Mane had been brought down by Marc Albrighton.

The result moved Liverpool eight points clear at the top of the Premier League table via their eighth win from their opening eight games.

They will nonetheless be waiting anxiously for news on Salah, with the international break coming at a good time for Jurgen Klopp and his side.

A trip to Old Trafford to take on rivals Manchester United awaits after the break on October 20.
