Mohamed Salah goal: Moussa Sissoko handball gifts Liverpool instant penalty in Champions League final

Liverpool made the perfect start to the Champions League final in Madrid as Moussa Sissoko‘s handball gifted Tottenham’s opponents an early penalty.

Mohamed Salah stepped up and scored from the spot in the second minute – after it had initially been awarded inside 60 seconds – by blasting straight down the middle as Hugo Lloris leapt to his left.

The referee Damir Skomina took no time in pointing to the spot and although the decision was checked by VAR, as is protocol, it was deemed a correct call.

Replays showed Sissoko block Sadio Mane’s cross with his chest, initially, but his arm swung down on to the ball and there seemed little choice for Skomina, despite Spurs’ protests.

It left Tottenham with it all to do right from the start of the game as Liverpool took an early 1-0 lead.

Take a look at the moment Salah blasted Liverpool in front.
