Mohamed Salah gets telling off from his mum after female fan picture goes viral

Mohamed Salah can do no wrong in the eyes of Liverpool fans.

But it seems the Egyptian is in his mum's bad books after a picture of the forward posing with a female fan went viral on social media.

Salah was recently in Dubai as the international break brought domestic football - and the Reds' charge to win a first Premier League title - to a temporary halt.

The 26-year-old posted snaps from his holiday: one showing him on an exotic beach after he had etched the words: "You will never walk alone" into the sand.

He also met with some of his fans while in the United Arab Emirates, with whom he took pictures with.

The picture went viral on social media, and was spotted by Salah's mum who took a screenshot of it and sent to her son on WhatsApp along with a message, which has been translated from Arabic.

Salah's mum wrote: "If I saw your father doing this, I would ask him for divorce."

The Liverpool striker didn't take his mum's comment to heart though and reacted by taking a screenshot of the conversation and posting it to Instagram with laughing emojis.
