Mohamed Salah agent reacts to strange Liverpool substitution against Chelsea

Mohamed Salah's agent has sent a cryptic message after the Liverpool forward was substituted against Chelsea.

With the Reds chasing a goal, after Mason Mount's opener in the first half, Jurgen Klopp threw on Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Diogo Jota on the hour-mark.

Salah was one of the players to be sacrificed and the Egyptian forward was clearly unhappy with the decision as he left the field.

The 28-year-old is the Premier League top goal-scorer and he was clearly unimpressed at being hooked with over half an hour of the match still to be played.

Just after the substitution, Salah's agent posted a cryptic response to the change, tweeting out just a single full stop.

Jamie Carragher was left surprised by the change, whilst on co-commentary duty for the match.

“I’m surprised with that one, Mo Salah coming off, I really am," he said.

"He’s not too happy himself. Liverpool need a goal and he’s the top scorer in the Premier League.”

Salah's long-term future at Liverpool remains in question, with his current contract running until 2023.

However, if the Reds are to rejuvenate their attacking line, it has been suggested that one of Salah, Sadio Mane or Roberto Firmino would have to be sold to fund a younger purchase.

Salah in the past has hinted he could be tempted to move to Spain to join Barcelona or Real Madrid.

"I think Madrid and Barcelona are two top clubs," Salah told Spanish newspaper AS last year.

"Who knows what will happen in the future, but right now I am focused on winning the Premier League and the Champions League with Liverpool again."

When pressed, Salah added: "That's a tough question, but right now I can say that everything is in the hands of the club.

"Of course I want to break records here and, I repeat, all the club records, but everything is in the hands of the club."
