Mohamed Elyounoussi will extend Celtic loan spell as winger 'decides future'

Mohamed Elyounoussi is reportedly on the verge of extending his loan spell at Celtic for another season.

The Hoops have been keen to retain the Norwegian's services from Southampton this summer, along with Fraser Forster, after the winger excelled at Parkhead last term.

And it seems Celtic might finally have got their man as Norwegian website VG Sporten claims Elyounoussi is on the verge of signing a short term deal with Neil Lennon's side.

Reporter Arilas Ould-Saada said: "Mohamed Elyounoussi has decided his future. According to our information the Norwegian international will extend his loan spell at Celtic for one more season. Final paperwork remains before it’s a done deal.

It's the news Celtic fans have been crying out with Forster's future up in the air.

It remains to be seen if the keeper will return to Parkhead next season and the Hoops are reportedly looking into alternatives such as Joe Hart.
