Arsenal and Leicester are monitoring former Celtic star Mohamed Elyounoussi following his impressive start to the season for club and country.
The 27-year-old Southampton forward was man of the match in Norway’s 2-0 victory over Montenegro — scoring both goals in front of a host of scouts.
And that was after scoring four goals and chipping in with two assists in six games for his club side.
Elyounoussi joined Southampton from Basel in 2018 for £16million but failed to live up to his billing.
He was then sent out on loan to Celtic for two seasons, where he scored 24 goals and wracked up 12 assists in 67 games for the Glasgow giants.
Since returning to St Mary’s, he has started showing the sort of form that convinced Southampton to sign him in the first place.
And that hasn’t gone unnoticed by their Premier League rivals.
Elyounoussi is now in the final 18 months of his contract on the south coast and is seen by both sides as a potential cut-price addition to their squads.
