Mohamed Elneny sends a message to the Arsenal fans after completing Besiktas move

Mohamed Elneny has sent a message to the Arsenal fans after completing a loan move to Besiktas.

The Arsenal midfielder has joined the Turkish side on loan for the rest of the season, having found first team opportunities limited under Unai Emery at the Emirates.

Elneny almost made more appearances in the Europa League than he did in the Premier League last season, with seven games in Europa compared to eight in the English top flight.

He has made 89 appearances in all competitions since joining the north London outfit from Basel in 2016, but his future looks set to be aay from the Emirates.

The Egyptian clearly still loves the club he is leaving though, after sending a message to the Arsenal fans upon leaving for Besiktas.

Speaking on his official Twitter account, Elneny said: "I am very excited to be joining Turkish giants Besiktas and I look forward to achieving our targets in the Super Lig and Europe.

Europa League group stage: Who are the British teams set to play?

"To my dear Arsenal fans and team mates, I wish all the success for the season and be sure that I will be following the team's progress from Istanbul."

Elneny does not want to cut all ties with the Gunners and of course, he will be back in the summer, until such a time as he can find a permanent move away from the club.
