Mohamed Elneny claims Arsenal have only found themselves down in 15th place due to a spell of bad luck.
The Gunners are currently languishing in the bottom half of the Premier League having won just four of their 11 matches so far this season.
Egyptian midfielder Elneny has been virtually ever-present for his club this term, save for a two-week absence due to testing positive for coronavirus.
And he believes, despite Arsenal's notable problems in front of goal, that their poor run of results is just down to sheer misfortune.
"We focus on the Premier League now because we are losing a few games, we know it is hard but we have stuck together as a team always," he said.
"We have stuck together, everyone at Arsenal, we know there is more to come from us and we need to fight and give everything to get into that winning way because we deserve it.
"We give everything on the pitch and we just had bad luck sometimes. Football is like that sometimes but we believe we are going to get back to winning ways."
It seems there may be something in the water at the Emirates, as Elneny's view matches that of teammate Rob Holding.
Perhaps both players have been skirting over the damning facts highlighting Arsenal's difficulties, which have seen them score just once from open play in their last seven league matches.
Arsenal have picked up just four points in that time, and are now ranked bottom out of all the top-flight clubs in terms of chances created this season.
The Gunners are also 18th for shots on target, while their total of 10 goals for the season is better than only three other clubs.

Mikel Arteta's side have a chance to put that right this weekend when they welcome relegation battlers Burnley, with Elneny ready for his first taste of domestic action in over a month.
"Of course, I'm always prepared to be involved and give everything to my team to help them win the game," he said, when speaking after Thursday's Europa League win over Dundalk.
"We did what we need to do and now we push on to do what we need to do and what we need to do is win on Sunday."
