Mohamed Elneny drops big transfer hint amid talk of Besiktas deal

Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny has dropped a hint on social media that he could be on his way out of the Emirates Stadium.

The 27-year-old has been heavily linked with a loan move to Turkish side Besiktas, with Sky Sports reporting that the player will arrive in Istanbul today (Friday) in order to sign for the club.

Elneny has found game time hard to come by under Arsenal boss Unai Emery, playing just 17 games in all competitions during the 2018/19 season. The Egypt international has found it even harder to break into the side this campaign, having not been named in any of the Premier League squads so far.

Speaking ahead of last week's encounter with Liverpool, Emery admitted that Elneny along with defender Shkodran Mustafi could find other clubs this summer.

"They know the situation, I am wishing the best for them and I think now the best for them is to be protagonists in another team, to sign and to get another challenge for them and continue with another team," he told Sky Sports .

"But with [a lot of] respect, they are training with us but they know their situation and I am wishing only the best for them."

Amid the speculation that a move to Turkey is now on the cards for Elneny, the midfielder has posted a picture on social media of him on an aeroplane, a similar photo has also been posted by the player's agent Alan Nazmy.

While the two don't reveal where they are flying, given the speculation around Elneny's future it is fair to assume that a deal for the midfielder to leave the Emirates is now on the cards.

Elneny has made 89 appearances for Arsenal over his three years at the club, scoring two goals. The 27-year-old's contract at the Emirates Stadium runs until 2022.
