The United Arab Emirates stands with Saudi Arabia to confront challenges, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has said.

''UAE and Saudi Arabia are standing as partners in one trench to face besetting challenges. Our shared goals are the security of the UAE and Saudi Arabia and the stability of the whole region. We also share a common fate and future,'' he said on Wednesday.

Speaking about the Safir incident in Yemen’s Marib, Sheikh Mohamed said: “We overcame that painful day and became stronger and resolute.”

Saudi State Minister for Foreign Affairs Adel al-Jubeir also confirmed that the Kingdom is leading efforts to achieve security and stability in the region to confront the Iranian regime’s attempts to spread chaos and create instability.

The strong ties between Saudi Arabia and the UAE are the basis for such efforts, he said on his Twitter account.

The Saudi-led Arab Coalition works along with UAE’s efforts to achieve security and stability in Aden, Shabwa and Abyan, said Jubeir.

“We will not spare any effort until stability and security is achieved across Yemen,” he added.

Jubeir called on Yemenis to overcome their differences by holding a dialogue that Saudi Arabia has called for.

He also urged them to unite in confronting Iran’s influence.
