Moffat Rams Rugby Club turning old shirts into cushions to raise funds

Moffat Rugby Club have come up with a novel way of bolstering their coffers.

With no fundraising events on during the pandemic, The Rams are looking to generate some cash for club funds and a lockdown clearout has thrown up an unusual money-spinning venture.

Their rugby development officer, Cameron Little, is recycling unwanted former playing shirts by having them professionally converted into cushions.

They have 30 shirts transformed into cushions and on sale at £20 each – destined to become collectors items.

Cammy said: “Thanks to Kay at Reloved for the conversion works and to the community for your continued support. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.”

To buy a cushion private message the team’s Facebook page or contact Cammy on 07759 643467.
