Moffat and District Gala made a triumphant return on Saturday.
Jedis, fighter pilots, bumble bees and comic characters helped get the town into the spirit of things in the culmination of a summer of activities.
It was the first gala day since the Covid-19 pandemic began.
Thomas Tyler and Gillian Lamont were the gala’s Shepherd and Lass, with Laura Johnstone the Queen of Upper Annandale.
Leah Wilson of Beattock Primary was the princess and the royal retinue included: ladies in waiting, Amy Robinson and Erin Shannon; page boys James McCrosson and Ruairidh Watson;, and train bearers, Evie Rankin and Kayleigh Kerr.
Chairman Idy Davidson said: “It was absolutely fantastic.

“We’ve never seen the crowds like we had on Saturday. I think everybody is in a post-Covid mood. The weather made it and it was fantastic.
“It was a great week and just about everything went as planned. The amount of families up the field on the Saturday was phenomenal. It was chock-a-block.
“Everybody was having a great time kids and adults. The big kids and the small kids actually. All in all it was a great week we’re so chuffed with how everything went. Now we’re on to planning for 2023!”
