An Irish company has announced plans to create 100 new jobs as part of a major expansion in Co Clare.
Modular Automation, which supplies automation solutions for MedTech multinationals, hopes to make the roles by 2023.
The company also revealed it will expand its facility in Shannon after buying eight acres of land for future development.
Minister of State for Employment Pat Breen said: "Modular Automation is a wonderful example of an Irish company connecting successfully on a global scale.
"I would like to congratulate them on their continued expansion and commend the global ambition of this indigenous company to compete at the highest level, supplying to some of world’s largest MNC’s.

"This expansion and the announcement today of 100 new high quality jobs is very welcome news for the Shannon area and illustrates the capacity of the Mid-West to become a regional hub for innovation and technology. I wish Modular Automation every success for the future."
The organisation's customers include Johnson and Johnson, Stryker and Boston Scientific.
CEO Vivian Farrell said: "Our team has doubled in the past five years to over 170 employees and due to growing demand, we now plan to create another 100 jobs over the next three years.
"We are also investing to substantially expand our facility to give us the capacity to deliver more for our customers both at home and across the US."
