PM Narendra Modi in US: Sanyukt Kisan Morcha urges NRIs to raise their genuine demands

BATHINDA: Aiming to get their voice heard at the United Nations (UN) headquarters, the Sanyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) has issued appeals to non-resident Indians (NRIs) residing in USA to raise voice during the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, especially when he visit UN at New York on September 25.

The video clips are being posted in social media calling upon friends of farmers to further spread the word among the various sections in the US.

US-based doctor Swaiman Singh, presently at Tikri border providing medical facilities to protesting farmers, made an appeal to his US friends saying, “NRIs residing in USA get together when Prime Minister Narendra Modi comes to New York on September 25.

“They should gather at New York and hold banners ‘No Farmers No Food’ on their tractors, trucks and cars to show solidarity to farmer protest and over 600 farmers who have lost lives in 10 months of protests.”

SKM leader Darshan Lal posted a video message stating that PM Narendra Modi is in USA to hold meetings with US president Joe Biden, vice-president Kamala Harris as well as PMs of Australia and Japan, apart from addressing at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

Accordign to him, the NRIs should hold protests during Modi’s visit, as he is not listening to their genuine demands for the last 10 months.

Farmer leader Manjit Singh Rai too posted a message and urged farmer friends, individuals, associations to hold protests when he meets the dignitaries or address UN.
