Scouts will be searching for this year's Miss Newcastle at Ladies Day today.
Miss Newcastle returns this year after the 2020 pageant was cancelled due the coronavirus pandemic.
The annual event, which celebrates "beauty, talent, and charity" is a key fundraiser, which pulled in £30,000 for the Sunshine Fund when it was last held in 2019.
The winner secures a contract with Tyne Tees Model Management and a place in the Miss England final.

Around 15,000 are set to attend Newcastle Racecourse for Ladies Day on Saturday July 24.
Rachelle Jacques from Gainford Group who organise the event said “We are thrilled to be bringing back Miss Newcastle for 2021, celebrating the wonderful young women of our region.
"We are setting our target high and hoping to exceed raising £30k for the Sunshine Fund with this years event. Ladies Day is the perfect opportunity to launch the search for Miss Newcastle 2021."
A dozen competitors will eventually be chosen for Miss Newcastle's final at The County Hotel on Friday November 5 and the search starts today at Newcastle Racecourse.
Each of the 12 eventual finalists will be tasked with raising as much money as possible for good causes ahead of the black-tie dinner final.
