Model Iskra Lawrence confirms she's pregnant - and gets viciously trolled

Model Iskra Lawrence has confirmed she's pregnant with her first child.

The social media sensation announced the "magical" news yesterday alongside her boyfriend of 13 months Philip Payne.

The couple have been dating since last year, and they posed for a sweet picture together to confirm the pregnancy.

In the snap, Iskra, 28, is seen holding up a positive test and told fans she's 17 weeks pregnant and overjoyed.

In a caption, she wrote: "It’s not just the two of us anymore, we're soon to be a family of 3.

"When @Philipapayne ran out and got us six boxes of [pregnancy] tests, our lives changed forever.

"We were so shocked when we saw those two lines and we knew for sure we were having a baby.

"Right now we’re 17 weeks and 3 days pregnant! And I can't wait to share with you what these last 4 months have been like.

"I’ve never been more excited to meet anyone, and Philip and I are in love with our mini baby P bump."

She went on to explain how lucky she feels to be expecting as so many women struggle with fertility issues.

Iskra added: "I’m well aware of the struggles many women face with infertility and how lucky I am...

"It’s something very close to my heart with many of my best friends and family members experiencing these challenges.

"Can’t believe I’m finally telling the whole damn world our magical news sending you all lots of love xx."

However, she also used the announcement to plug a brand of pregnancy tests and launch a competition.

Many of her followers were happy for her but some slammed the model for turning her pregnancy announcement into a paid advert.

One wrote: "Did you announce your pregnancy. By doing a advert/"

Another added: "4 months pregnant nd u needed a test to know tht or was it jst a way to announce the pregnancy nd nd make some money too with tht six boxes of pregnancy kit?"

A third commented: "You... copped out your pregnancy announcement with an ad placement????
