PATNA: In a 17-year-old case, two-time RJD MLA from Rajauli assembly (reserved) segment in Nawada district, Prakash Veer, was sentenced to six months imprisonment by Nawada MP/MLA court judge, Kumar Avinash, for violating the model code of conduct during the 2005 state assembly polls.

However, he was immediately released after filing a bail bond. Prakash, who had contested on LJP ticket then, had violated the model code when he pasted posters on a number of electricity poles. The then Rajauli SHO, Narayan Ram, had lodged an FIR (114/05) against him.
