MoD releases Rs 19 crore for 3 cantonments

PUNE: The Union ministry of defence’s (MoD) Directorate General of Defence Estates (DGDE) has released a Rs 19 crore non-recurring grant-in aid to the Pune, Khadki, and Dehu Road cantonment boards in the district to enable them overcome their prevailing financial issues.

Of this, Pune cantonment was granted Rs12 crore, while Khadki and Dehu Road cantonments will get Rs3 crore and Rs4 crore, respectively. “This is timely help as we can ramp up our hospital management effectively,” said Amit Kumar, CEO of PCB.
