Mock trade sees Bulls flip Zach LaVine for 4-time NBA champion

As the season rolls on, the Chicago Bulls are going to be a team to watch when it comes to trade talks. While they may have overcome their rough start to the season, they should still be looking to reset the roster, as they aren’t equipped to compete with the top teams in the Eastern Conference.

Zach LaVine has been one of the biggest names thrown around in trade rumors, and the Bulls are reportedly focused on trying to find a trade for him. Josh Buckhalter of Heavy.com recently threw out a trade idea that would see the Bulls ship him off to the Golden State Warriors.

In the deal, the Bulls would get back Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins.

Here’s the full outline of the proposed trade:

Bulls receive: Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins

Warriors receive: Zach LaVine, Jevon Carter, 2028 first-round pick

Buckhalter believes this deal would help the Bulls improve on defense while making the Warriors younger.

“This package offers the Warriors a chance to get younger and improve their three-point shooting,” Buckhalter wrote. “The Bulls, meanwhile, could lean into their defensive identity with championship-level players.”

LaVine has been hurt for weeks, but when healthy, he’s a great shot-creator and a two-time All-Star.

That said, despite Green’s struggles with suspensions this season, his loyalty to the Warriors organization, and vice versa, make it unlikely that a trade would ever go down.

In addition, with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Chris Paul already on the roster, trading for another high-level guard doesn’t seem to be the best course of action should the Warriors decide to ditch Green.
