Mock The Week star Angela Barnes marries partner in quirky festival-style wedding

Mock the Week star Angela Barnes had plenty to celebrate over the weekend as she married her partner Matt in a fun-filled festival-style ceremony.

In a sweet snap the 44-year-old comedian was seen beaming with happiness as she danced with her husband.

“We did a wedding and it was full of JOY,” wrote Angela, in a sweet social media post.

The pics show Angela dressed in a white and red retro-style dress and trainers, strutting her stuff with Matt who looked dapper in a suit, red tie and striking red Converse.

“Congratulations! It looks like an amazing wedding and I’m so happy for you and Matt,” commented one happy Twitter follower.

“Who would’ve thought I’d end up so invested in the wedding of somebody I don’t know!” added a new fan. “Many happy returns and I hope you both enjoyed yourselves immensely.”

“Truly the most amazing wedding I have ever been to (and I’ve had one of my own). I can’t stop telling people about,” gushed one excited fan. “Thank you so much for letting me be a part of it xxx”.

A fourth teased: “Congratulations. You both look gorgeous! Nice move too xx”.

And in a separate post, Angela also shared a picture of her new husband’s wedding cufflinks, which she revealed were very unique.

“Oh, I forgot to tell you, Matt’s cufflinks were made from bits of ACTUAL Berlin wall…,” added Angela.

“Thought that might appeal to you (I bought them for him obvs),” revealed the self-confessed Cold War nerd.

To which a social media fan replied: “Very cool.”

Angela joined the cast of topical sow Stand Up for the Week in November 2013, but the London-born comic is arguably best known for her work on Mock the Week.

She also starred on Richard Osman’s House of Games – and became the first contestant to win all five days.

Angela has also starred at Live at the Apollo and last year stared co-hosting a popular podcast We Are History with writer John O’Farrell.

She is also a former BBC New Comedy Award winner and is well-known as of the most hard-working comedians on the comedy circuit.
