Mock draft watch: Browns score OT help in PFF’s latest

The latest mock draft from Pro Football Focus is one that should make Cleveland Browns fans happy. Landing the best offensive tackle prospect in the draft will do that for a fan base tired of Greg Robinson and Chris Hubbard as the bookend tackles.

This one from PFF’s Mike Renner is not a predictive sort of mock. This is one where Renner is advising the Browns and GM John Dorsey what decision to make. His advice is one Dorsey would be wise to strongly consider, especially if the Browns remain picking at No. 7 overall:

Georgia offensive tackle Andrew Thomas.

Renner’s explanation says it all,

What Thomas is doing as a true junior is special. He’s fresh off shutting down one of the best edge tandems in the country in Florida’s Jonathan Greenard and Jabari Zuniga. His 92.6 overall grade is the highest of any draft-eligible Power-5 tackle.

A college star named Thomas playing left tackle for the Browns. We’ve seen this movie. It ends very well.
