The latest 2020 NFL mock draft from our friends at Draft Wire is one that should make Cleveland Browns fans smile.
The player chosen, in this case Louisville offensive tackle Mekhi Becton, is less noteworthy than when the Browns select him.
No. 28 overall.
Picking that late in the first round without trading back to that point means the Browns are winning at least one playoff game this year. That is something Cleveland has not done in 25 years. It’s based on current odds to win the Super Bowl, so the Chiefs and Patriots in the AFC are projected to pick after the Browns.
Becton would be a good fit, based on some early watching. He’s every bit of 6-foot-7 and a listed 368 pounds, but he moves surprisingly well for such a behemoth.
