Mock draft watch: Browns land big left tackle in Draft Wire’s latest

The college football season is nearly to the midway point this weekend, and that means it’s time for the latest batch of updated 2020 NFL mock drafts. The newest update from Draft Wire and editor Luke Easterling is one Browns fans can probably get behind.

In his latest projection, Easterling forecasts mammoth Washington Huskies LT Trey Adams to the Cleveland Browns with the No. 19 overall pick.

Adams has a lot of high-end talent, but he has also battled through several injuries during his Washington career. That’s something Easterling acknowledges, but he sees Adams as worth the risk,

The Browns need an upgraded long-term solution at left tackle, and this scenario could play in their favor. Adams has dealt with injuries throughout his career with the Huskies, but when healthy, he’s absolutely a first-round prospect.

The draft order is based straight from the latest Super Bowl odds and is technically impossible, as it doesn’t have any AFC North teams picking in the playoff range.
