A stylish shepherd’s hut has been put up for sale on Skye with a £22,500 price tag.
The fully kitted out new build comes complete with real oak floors, double glazing, heating, kitchen and bathroom.
Sellers are marketing it as a holiday home with “massive earning potential” ideal for glampers emerging from lockdown.
An ad posted on Gumtree boasts: “With Covid, shepherd’s hut holidays are becoming very popular - they were highlighted as a fabulous staycation.”
Photos show facilities including a Mira shower, electric wood burner, two ring oven and hot water heater.
The ad reads: “This is a beautiful hut with all the comforts of home - also includes decking to allow folk to enjoy sitting outside.”
With huts on Skye renting all year round for £80 to £100-a-night, sellers describe the premises as a “fantastic investment” capable of generating nearly £30,000-a-year.
The 20-foot hut weighs about five tonnes with a turntable and four wheels so it can be towed by a tractor.
And any prospective buyers should be undeterred by stormy west coast weather.
The ad goes on: “The hut is heavy and stable in high winds. We have had plenty of major storms and the hut hardly moves.
“It is airy and light, feels spacious and has plenty of storage.”
