Mobile Legends: Bang Bang’s Ranked mode is where you test your skills against other players and climb the competitive ladder just like in other multiplayer games.
Below we break down all MLBB ranks, including medals, tiers, and rewards.
Full list of MLBB ranks: All medals and tiers
There are 10 ranks (with corresponding medals) in Mobile Legends, with each one having tiers to clear before going up to the next rank (except for Mythic and above). You need to win matches to earn stars and progress through the ranks.

Mythic is the highest core competitive bracket in MLBB. Instead of standard tier progression, you earn Mythic stars to advance to the next medal. Once you reach Mythical Immortal, there’s no limit to the stars you can collect. Most professional players, if not all, are playing in the Mythical Immortal bracket.
How to play Ranked mode in MLBB?
MLBB Ranked mode unlocks once your account reaches Level 8 and you own at least five heroes. You climb through the ranks and tiers by collecting stars from winning matches, with one win equating to one star. For example, if you’re Epic I with five stars, your next ranked match win will promote you to Legend V.
Winning streaks and strong performance can help you earn multiple stars in a single game to speed up your climb, while repeated losses can cause demotion, except in Warrior. There are star and rank protection systems in place to prevent you from losing star or getting demoted to a lower rank.
To queue for Ranked matches, you can play solo or you can team up with other players for duo, trio, or full five-man squads depending on rank restrictions. Draft Pick mode also becomes mandatory starting from Epic rank, where hero banning is introduced and players can see each other’s pick.

Mythic Skin
Mythic Skins are rarer and more visually appealing than seasonal skins. They are added every four seasons. Each Mythic Skin costs 40 Mythic Coins, meaning you’ll need to grind Ranked matches across four full seasons to earn enough coins for one of these exclusive cosmetics.
You can choose which Mythic Skin to unlock first. At the time of writing, the available Mythic Skins are the Dragon’s Maw Clint (2024), Lord of the Tundra Hylos (2025), and Infernal Magister Faramis (2023), with an upcoming skin for Valentina this year.
