A group of women armed with hammers and golf clubs allegedly stormed a house in north Dublin on Friday evening.
The alleged incident happened in the Finglas area of the Irish capital, with some sources claiming it was a planned ambush.
In the attack, a victim was beaten with hammers, golf clubs and even socks filled with snooker balls, Dublin Live reports.
It is also understood that a small child was hit with eggs when they opened the door.
A woman came out of the house in a bid to stop the attack and the mob then set on her.
Footage of the incident shows at least four women surrounding the helpless victim and launching an attack on her.

The woman was allegedly dragged to the ground in between two cars before being repeatedly kicked, punched and beaten with weapons.
It is estimated the initial attack lasted more than 30 seconds.
Then, a woman allegedly hit the victim with a hammer 10 times before the mob escaped.
Two women, however, remained at the scene and kicked the victim who was on the ground.
The pair then left the area and the woman stood up, trying to chase the mob who had run away in the meantime.
Gardai Police said officers attended the scene of the incident and spoke to those present.
Enquiries into the alleged assault are ongoing, even though police did not receive any complaint.
A police spokesperson said: "Gardaí received report of an alleged incident of assault at Rathoath Avenue, Finglas, Dublin 11 on the evening of Friday, 22nd October 2021. Gardaí attended the scene and spoke to those present.
"No complaint received and no offences disclosed. Enquiries are ongoing."
