Moaning diner gets dealt brutal lesson by restaurant owner for ordering Parmesan

Pineapple on pizza, Coke with milk - there are some food and drink combinations which people just don't sit on the fence about.

Sea food and a sprinkling of Parmesan cheese could easily be another.

Yet to one Italian restaurant owner's HORROR, this is what a customer recently ordered. So he did what any self-respecting Italian would do, and banned the customer from adding the Parmesan to his crab ravioli with cream salmon sauce.

Said customer did not take kindly to this, so decided to drag the establishment with a scathing review on TripAdvisor, where he called the service "second to cow dung".

Owner of Maxio's Italian Bistro, Massimo Donato, was having NONE of it, however, and decided to teach the angry diner an important lesson.

In the customer's review, he fumed: "Half way through the meal I felt like the dish needed a little something. So I asked the waiter for some Parmesan cheese and he sort of gave me a bewildered look.

"I waited for his response which I couldn't believe. He literally refused to give me the Parmesan, stating you do not put Parmesan on any seafood because it would take away the flavor."

The customer tried to convey that he liked his food "cheesy", but, not wanting to make a scene, he just ate his food and left.

It was when he was back at his hotel that he realised he need to "get it off his chest" so called the restaurant to complain. The restaurant stood firm on the issue.

In response to the review, he wrote: "No words about your rudeness and your silly request.

"NEVER ask for pineapple on pizza;

NEVER put cream on your Carbonara;

NEVER ask for any Alfredo pasta (who is Alfredo anyway?);

NEVER put chicken on arrabbiata;

And, last but not least, NEVER NEVER EVER ASK FOR CHEESE ON A FISH DISH. Simple rules as A, B, C."

He signed off with the burn, "Try parmesan on cow dung, it should taste fine for you."

Massimo's zinger of a  response earned him a lot of love on social media.

While there were accusations of him "belittling" the customer, many praised Massimo for his reply.

"Fully Team Massimo after reading these," wrote one man.

"Everyone who says s**t like 'customer service is doing what I tell you to' should be shot into the sun," wrote another.

Massimo was seriously unimpressed by the diner's hissy fit, so issued a rebuttal of his own. Either way, Maximo Italian Bistrot's TripAdvisor rating seems to be unharmed by all the attention.
